What you must keep in mind, before booking a massage.

NB! ETHICAL RULES

Before you book your treatment, please read through the Ethical Rules.

I only perform the treatments on the list, no additional services.

ETHICS
I follow the ethical rules that apply to the members of the Body Therapists' Professional Association (Kroppsterapeuternas Yrkesförbund).
I have a duty of secrecy under the Ethical Rules.

INTEGRITY
In order to perform the massage, you must remove part of the clothing, but you always keep your underwear on.
As a woman you can choose to be without a bra, but if it is openable in the back you can keep it on as well.
I respect your personal integrity. For this reason, during the massage I cover the body parts I do not massage with a towel, for example when I massage the back I cover buttock and legs. For a partial body massage, for example only back or only legs, it is enough to just remove the clothing where I am going to give the massage.

In case of inappropriate behavior from the customer, I have the right to cancel the treatment, but it is paid as if it were complete.

When you should avoid massage

There are certain situations in which massage is contraindicated and is not recommended. It is important to inform the massage therapist about your problems and doubts, so that he or she can adjust the treatment according to your body and your needs. It is also a good idea to take advice from your doctor about massage. Your doctor can advise you on the most appropriate conditions for your situation.

If you have a rare disease or are taking medication, always consult your doctor before getting a massage.

Massage is always contraindicated in the following conditions:

  1. fever
  2. infection
  3. bone fracture
  4. contagious disease
  5. high blood pressure
  6. tumors
  7. open wounds
  8. muscle fracture
  9. extensive bruises
  10. intervertebral hernia
  11. burns
  12. myositis ossificans
  13. thrombosis and bleeding, such as hemophilia
  14. severe heart disease
  15. certain skin infections

Some stomach disorders can also get worsened with massage, or at least the massage can be uncomfortable in such situations, so you may want to discuss this situation with your massage therapist before the massage.

In some cases it is safe to perform the massage, but the therapist must avoid a deep impact on the muscles. Such situations are massage to elderly people, as well as to people with osteoporosis, arthritis and rheumatism. Deep massage is also contraindicated in people with autoimmune diseases, Hodgkin's disease, recent scars and conditions such as atherosclerosis.

There are some conditions in which massage can be beneficial for some people, but not for others. For example, some doctors say that massage is contraindicated for cancer, while others recommend a light massage for cancer patients. Common dysfunction can be considerably relieved with massage, but it can also get worse under certain psychiatric conditions.

NB!

  1. Body hygiene is important.
  2. Do not forget that there are fragrance-sensitive customers.
  3. Do not forget that jewelry can prevent performing the treatment in optimum conditions.
